Our Story
August 2021. The Taliban have taken over Afghanistan once again. A small group of women's advocates from around the world began jumping into action, as we cannot stand by and watch 20 years of freedom and women's rights suddenly be wiped out overnight. Stories from women on the ground start pouring in and we listen carefully to learn what help they most need, and then jump into action.
Women4Afghanistan started as an idea for hashtag and given the urgency, we started connecting our global network of communities of women's advocates to mobilize practical help for Afghan women & girls.
We have become a global movement!
